YOU must have a will to win.
This week I want you to think about successful people. People who achieve success WANT to be successful. That desire drives them and helps them overcome the difficulties, disappointments, and short-term setbacks that everyone encounters. Passion of will is the unseen force behind success.
What does it mean to have the drive to be successful?
What?
You must define clearly what you want to accomplish. To engage your will to win, you must have something on which to focus. Know exactly what you want to achieve by setting a goal or an objective.
Why?
You must know why you want to accomplish a goal. Set in your mind a purpose or reason for reaching your goal.
How?
Aim yourself toward your defined purpose. Once you have defined the goal and why you want to accomplish it, you have defined the motive and method through which your will to succeed can act.
Remember what Vince Lombardi said about the will to win:
Winning is not everything, but the will to win is.
The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, nor a lack of knowledge, but a lack of will.
