Everything Starts With Prospecting
In my book, Principle Power For Sales Success, I wrote “As important as
skills, competencies, and knowledge are, without the ability to prospect
effectively, build relationships, and have new people to see on an ongoing
basis, you never get to put into practice what you know.”
What is the first sale that we make?
It's the appointment!
Until we make this sale, we don’t have the opportunity to make any other sales!
Clearly, the appointment is a critical first sale!
Remember: First impressions are important. Whether you're asking for an appointment in person or by phone, be prepared and be professional. Whether you're face to face with the prospect or grabbing a few precious seconds of his or her telephone time, you never get a second chance to make a first impression.
Without people to see, nothing else matters.
